friend prompt

When I see homeless people I'm saddened because I cannot care for them. So, I care for my friends as much as possible. As a friend, I would think of myself as caring. My arms are open to a trusted stranger or a friend who needs someone to love her. I stop to help teachers when they struggle to carry more then they can handle. Plenty of times I've dropped what I'm doing to take a lost animal to where it belongs so it doesn't wander into the road. Caring is the word most people will use but I believe I'm speaking the truth, because caring is living.

Another school. I sigh. When will I stay in place to make real friends. I breeze through these
weeks join the volley team. The dance is coming. I go with my few friends and dance. One girl stands out in our group, I've never seen her. When I see her my hands tingle she is different I know it. I sense it.

"Hello." I greet her. "I'm sandi."
"Hi." she returns. "I'm Mylyssa."
"Do you live far?" I venture.
"No."Mylyssa answers. "Just up the road in the aparments."
"Hey me, too."I gasp. "Wanna walk together?"
"Sure."She smiles.
We keep dancing.
